A driver in Salem, New Hampshire suffered serious injuries after a large tree fell on their vehicle Friday morning.
The large pine, measuring two-to-three feet in diameter, fell onto the car while with it was driving on Pelham Road, according to Salem Fire Chief Lawrence Best.
It took 15 minutes for crews to cut the tree away in order to extract the man from his car.
Pelham Road was closed from Stiles Road to Industrial Drive for about an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.
The driver was flown to Lawrence General to be treated for serious injuries.
