“Your Honor, Lindsay Clancy rests her case,” Reddington declared.

Lindsay Clancy is on trial for the strangulation deaths of her young children: Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy.
Reddington claims Lindsay Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis, was wrongly medicated, and is not criminally responsible for their deaths
Reddington’s final witness was famed forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick, who examined Lindsay Clancy at Tewksbury State Hospital 4 months after the killings.
Resnick said Lindsay suffered postpartum psychosis
He said Lindsay told him she had no control on the night of the deaths.
“Not only did she hear a command, but she felt her body was taken over by an external force where she was in a dream state and did not have control over her own body. It was almost like she was a puppet and someone else was pulling the strings,” Resnick testified
Resnick also testified that Clancy thought she was saving her children from a life without her if she just took her own life.
“Even though she understood that ordinarily killing a child was against the law, she believed she was doing what was right for her children with her distorted psychotic thinking about the children’s need for her,” Resnick testified.
But in its rebuttal case, Prosecutors called Dr. Avram Mack to the stand, who examined Lindsay in April.
He said Lindsay suffered a major depressive episode.
He testified that even if Lindsay had psychosis, it wouldn’t matter.
“As a person who might be suffering from psychosis, do they know right from wrong?” asked prosecutor Shanan Buckingham.
“There’s no reason why psychosis in and of itself inhibits a person’s ability from knowing right from wrong,” Dr. Mack answered.
The Prosecution is calling rebuttal witnesses.
Mack is still on the stand.
The Prosecution plans to call two more rebuttal witnesses.
Testimony resumes on Monday.
