WOBURN, Mass. — Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s have launched an “active investigation” into an “incident” involving a sports team at Woburn Memorial High School.
The sports program at the school was not identified.
Investigators say the complaint was received October 13th. The incident is reported to have happened earlier in the school year.
In a joint statement with school officials, Woburn Police Chief Robert Rufo said “The Woburn Police Department and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are currently investigating the incident. Woburn Police have assigned a detective to the case.”
The statement went on to say police and Woburn Public Schools “will continue to work together to ensure the safety of all students.”
Police said this is an active investigation, but “due to the ages of those involved, no additional information is available at this time.”
