Cherry Street crossing was closed for hours Sunday after train crashed into car

ASHLAND, Mass. — Ashland police are investigating an accident at Cherry Street crossing Sunday night after a train crashed into a car. There are no reports of any injuries, according to police.

The fire department responded to assist with a fuel leak from the car and Keolis worked to remove the vehicle.

The MBTA reported more than a two-hour delay from South Station to Worcester line.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
