COHASSET, Mass. — A car crashed into a business in Cohasset early on Friday afternoon.
At around 3:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to Nails Essential Spa for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the storefront.
When first responders arrived, they found significant damage to the front wall and entrance of the business, with portions of the storefront pushed inward.
The vehicle also sustained significant front-end damage.
The investigation determined that the driver was pulling into a parking space directly in front of the business when the driver’s foot reportedly became caught on the accelerator while attempting to brake.
The vehicle then accelerated forward and struck the building.
No injuries were reported. Several people were inside the business when the crash occurred.
“The Cohasset Police Department is grateful that an incident involving such significant property damage did not result in injuries to the driver, employees, customers, or others in the building. See less,” the department said in a statement.
