BRISTOL, Conn. — The Bridgewater Little League is one step closer to the Little League World Series.
The team beat Gray-New Gloucester, Maine, yesterday 7 to nothing.
Bridgewater finished with 12 hits on the day, including a three-run home run in the first inning by player Dominick Mombeleur.
Mombeleur also had 12 strikeouts on the day.
The team now advances to play Vermont on Monday morning at 9 a.m. Vermont beat New Hampshire on Saturday.
The 12-year-old squad earned its spot in the regional after defeating Parkway Little League in the Massachusetts state championship game last Sunday in Holden.

The victory crowned Bridgewater as the 2026 Massachusetts Little League state champion and marked the program’s second state title in the last three years.
