BOSTON — A Boston Public Schools employee has been charged with two counts of posing a child in a state of nudity.

Ernest Logan, 31, works as a technician at TechBoston Academy in Dorchester.

Logan was arraigned on Monday in a West Roxbury courtroom after his arrest on Friday.

He’s been ordered to stay away from the school and the victim’s home following his arrest.

Investigators allege Logan received sexual images from the minor.

According to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden, Logan encouraged the minor to take and send the pictures.

A relative contacted authorities with the evidence after allegedly discovering the concerning conversation.

The DA’s office said Logan is known to the victim’s family through his employment at TechBoston Academy.

Police have not released the age of the alleged victim.

TechBoston Academy is attended by students in grades 6-12.

Logan’s attorney Kenneth McGoldrick told Boston 25 News that his client has no comment on the charges at this time.

A spokesperson with Boston Public Schools released the following statement:

“Boston Public Schools prioritizes the health, safety, and wellbeing of our students and staff and works to ensure all members of our community feel safe and supported in our schools. We also work swiftly when informed that a member of our community has done something that is counter to that shared value. While we cannot comment on the specifics of this incident, we can confirm that a member of the community has been placed on leave and we are cooperating with the Boston Police Department and their investigation.”
