Boston Police searching for suspect wanted in assault outside Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

BOSTON — Boston Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection to an assault and battery outside of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

On Monday around 10:06 a.m., officers responded to a verbal dispute in the area of 450 Brookline Ave. in Boston.

When they arrived, officers learned that a female victim was physically assaulted while she was standing in front of 1 Jimmy Fund Way.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing an all-black jumpsuit. Police said the suspect ran up to the victim and struck her with a closed fist on the right side of her head.

“This was an unprovoked attack,” police said in a statement.

The suspect then ran away from the area, along Jimmy Fund Way and then took a right on Brookline Avenue.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
