BOSTON — Police in Boston arrested a 23-year-old city man in connection to an attempted kidnapping that occurred on Washington Street in Boston Thursday morning. That suspect, identified as 23-year-old Dante Wentz, was apprehended near 300 Harrison Ave. in the city just before 6:45 p.m. Monday.
That man allegedly approached the female victim from behind near Tufts Medical Center just after 5:15 a.m. Thursday. Wentz then put his hands on her face and tried to pull her into a nearby alleyway, according to police. She screamed and fought him, and he left on foot, police added.

The woman spotted a member of the Tufts Public Safety Team, and Boston Police were notified. Both agencies are investigating the incident. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident but declined medical attention at the scene.
Wentz is expected to be arraigned on charges of Kidnapping, and Assault and Battery in Boston Municipal Court.
