BOSTON — Fifteen residents, including two children, are displaced after a massive fire at a Roxbury triple-decker Sunday night.
A heavy fire engulfed all three floors of the building on Quincy Street. As many as 100 Boston firefighters descended on the triple-decker to extinguish the roaring flames.
The flames leaped to a neighboring duplex before the fire department reported that the fire was knocked down just after 9:00 p.m.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control in less than an hour despite combatting low-hanging electrical wires and icy sidewalks.
One firefighter injured their shoulder during the effort.
Boston Fire officials at the scene said it was too early to speculate on the cause of the fire and that they were unsure of where it even began in the building.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
