SALEM, Mass. — Authorities have identified the woman who was struck and killed by a car in Salem on Sunday night.
Officers responding to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Willson Street just before 8:30 p.m. found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to the Salem Police Department.
The woman, 41-year-old Tammi Lyn Guy, later died at North Shore Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed on the scene. It’s not clear if they will face charges.
State police detectives are assisting Salem police with an investigation.
