ARLINGTON, Mass. — An Arlington man won two $75,000 Keno prizes after playing identical $5 “8-spot wagers” for a game drawn on July 31.
James Rogers claimed his prizes on Aug. 3 at the Massachusetts State Lottery Headquarters in Dorchester.
He says he plans to save his winnings.
Rogers purchased his winning tickets at the Knights of Columbus on Winslow St. in Arlington.
The fraternal organization will be compensated with a $1,500 bonus for its sale of these tickets.
Keno is played with a card containing numbers one through 80. Players can then select a set of numbers, called spots, between one and twelve.
Prizes and odds of winning vary based on the number of spots played.
For each game, a total of 20 winning numbers is selected at random.
