AmeriGas recalling a number of compromised grill tank cylinders sold in N.H. and MA

BOSTON — Out of an abundance of caution, AmeriGas is recalling a small number of potentially compromised grill tank cylinders sold in the areas of Southern & Central New Hampshire and Eastern Massachusetts.

According to the company’s website, if you purchased an AmeriGas Propane Exchange 20lb grill tank/cylinder between the dates of July 27, 2023 - August 2, 2023 check the cylinder collar for the marking: EVAS-M0859.

A total of 490 tanks/cylinders were sold into the market before the defect was identified.

If you are one of the hundreds of affected AmeriGas Propane Exchange customers return your cylinder to the location you purchased it for a replacement tank.

“If you purchased or exchanged barbeque (BBQ) grill tanks/cylinders outside of these locations, on different dates, or without the “EVAS-M0859″ stamp, you have no reason to be concerned. They are unaffected,” said their website.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the recall, please contact our dedicated recall task force toll-free at 844-881-1296 or via email at recall@amerigas.com.
