STOUGHTON, Mass. — Three people were arrested after allegedly breaking into a Stoughton home, leading to a violent attack, Stoughton Police say.
On Tuesday around 10 p.m., the Stoughton Police responded to a breaking and entering call on Canton Street. While on the way, officers say they heard over the radio that there may also have been a stabbing at the home. Officers say they arrived to a “chaotic scene” where witnesses told them several people had broken into the home and attacked them. Witnesses told police an 18-year-old man had been stomped on so hard that shoe marks were left on his chest.
That’s when police say the 18-year-old grabbed a nearby knife and stabbed the 16-year-old attacker in the leg. The stabbing victim then showed up to Good Samaritan Hospital where they required surgery.
Troopers went to the hospital to continue their investigation. There, they arrested three people. Cameron McGarry, 20 of Stoughton, Jacob Oknin, 18 of Sharon, and Anthony Myers, 23 of Holbrook, are charged with conspiracy to commit a crime. Myers is also charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, and assault and battery.
McGarry, Oknin, and Myers are set to be arraigned on Wednesday. Police say there are no plans to charge the 18-year-old who stabbed his attacker.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
