WORCESTER, Mass. — A 24-year-old man was sent to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon after his car flipped into a Worcester home.
No one inside the house was hurt, police said. It happened on Halcyon Drive around 12 p.m.
Police said the driver came down the large hill near St. Nicholas Avenue and went off the road. The car hit a tree taking off the bark and then hit the building where it landed on its roof.
The couple in the second-story unit said the entire building shook when the car hit. A resident of the home was on the computer by the window when the glass shattered and she sustained several cuts to her face. Police said a small power steering motor went through the window and nearly missed her.
Police said officers attended to the injured 24-year-old before taking him to the hospital. There is no word on the driver’s condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
