NORTON, Mass. — Two men were hospitalized Friday morning after getting crushed by a package of large granite slabs at a Norton worksite.

First responders were called to the site of Old Station Outdoor & Landscaping Supply at 142 East Main Street where both two men were found suffering from traumatic injuries.

A 39-year-old employee from Pawtucket and a 53-year-old delivery driver from Lawrence, were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for chest, abdomen and leg injuries that are serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

The incident is under investigation by Norton Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
