AUBURN, N.H. — An investigation is underway following a fatal crash that occurred Saturday morning in Auburn, New Hampshire.
The Auburn Police Department was alerted at 9 a.m. of reports about a motor vehicle accident on Beaver Brook Road that involved a side-by-side ATV crashing into a tree.
The crash was not too far from the Londonderry town line, police say.
Upon arrival, officers were able to locate the operator of the ATV, Craig Ford, 34, and the passenger, Wendy Ford, 51, who were both pronounced dead at the season.
Police added that both occupants were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Officials told Boston 25 they believe speed could have been a factor in the crash.
Beaver Brook Road remained closed until just before 4 p.m. Saturday.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
