2 dead in single-car crash in Fall River; 2 others, including 18-month-old boy, hospitalized

FALL RIVER, Mass. — A single-car crash in Fall River on Tuesday afternoon killed two women and injured another one and a baby, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

The investigation so far shows the car, an Acura sedan being driven by a 74-year-old Fall river woman, was traveling north on Second Street when it clipped the curb, lost control and struck Finder’s Keeper’s, a thrift store.

The driver and the front seat passenger, a 29-year-old Fall River woman, both died from the injuries sustained in the crash.

The two rear seat passengers, a 23-year-old Fall River woman, and an 18-month-old boy, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The woman is awake and alert at the hospital, while the baby is in serious but stable condition.

No further details have been released.

Authorities continue to investigate this crash.
