1 person shot in Hyde Park

BOSTON — A person shot in Hyde Park Thursday afternoon suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.

Boston police are investigating the shooting that happened shortly before 3 p.m., on Beacon St.

The victim was found on nearby Metropolitan Ave., and was rushed to the hospital, police said.

Street outreach teams were in the neighborhood as police continued to investigate Thursday afternoon.

A Boston 25 News photographer witnessed a person being handcuffed nearby. It is unclear if the incident is related. Police did not immediately confirm anyone was detained or arrested.
