FREEPORT, Maine — For 105 years L.L. Bean's classic Bean Boot has stayed the same, but this year the Maine company is mixing it up.
The company announced it is releasing a one-of-a-kind small batch of Bean Boots in different, bright colors.
The Classic 8-inch boot is available in plum for women and dark ash for men. The 6-inch boot is now available in field olive for men and women. These colors are known as "The Spring Batch", and through each season L.L. Bean will be releasing the colored boots.
"The Summer Batch" will feature sleek, but rugged boot, "The Fall Batch: a 16-inch Maine Hunting shoe and the "The Winter Batch" has a boot-slipper combination.
The new boots will continue to be handcrafted in Maine and they are currently being sold online.
