LEOMINSTER, Mass. — A 27-year-old Leominster man is accused of sexually assaulting two girls at knifepoint while videotaping them. The Puerto Rico native, Jonathan Nieves, was held without bail Wednesday night.
Prosecutors say the girls were terrified into submission and these sex acts took place sometimes daily for more than a year
“The defendant violently raped two young women repeatedly,” said Worcester County Assistant District Attorney Alyssa Kilimurray.
In the gruesome police report obtained by FOX25, the 14 and 11-year-old victims told investigators Nieves assaulted them several times from February 2015 through just December 2016. The youngest girl was just 10 years old at the start of the alleged abuse.
The older girl stated that the first time he told her he'd kill her family, then it increased more and more, according to court documents.
"These were women that were known to him. He had regular access to and these occurred over a long, extended period of time,” said Kilmurray.
The prosecutor told the judge Nieves lived near the girls and the threatened to kill them and their family members if they didn't play along with him. One of the girls told investigators that he "placed a big knife", which is used for cooking, to her throat.
Nieves has been held without bail since his Jan. 5 arraignment. His attorney made an argument for bail promising he'd stay away from the victims and would wear a GPS bracelet.
However, the judge ruled in favor of the prosecution and Nieves is being held without bail.
