Legal Sea Foods facing 2 lawsuits in Mass.

(MyFoxBoston.com) -- Legal Sea Foods is facing two class action lawsuits in Massachusetts.

According to the Boston Globe, suits filed on behalf of more than 200 servers and bartenders from the Prudential Center and Burlington Mall locations allege the chain violated wage laws.
The suit says Legal Sea Foods forced employees to share tips with waged workers.

Under state law, wait staff who make tips get paid a lower minimum wage than regular workers.

The suit is asking that the restaurant repay the wait staff those tips, plus additional hourly wages. The CEO of Legal Sea Foods tells the Globe that the lawsuit is "ludicrous."
