LAWRENCE, Mass. — The search is on for a Camry that hit a woman crossing the street in Lawrence Saturday night and kept driving.
The woman, identified as Janet Rosa, 45, was crossing Amesbury Street around 8:30 p.m. when she was hit by a gray Toyota Camry.
Police said Rosa was thrown a significant distance and suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Lawrence General, and then transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital.
The Camry should have front-end damage, said police.
Police were at the scene Sunday using drones to get video and pictures to reconstruct the crash. Troopers said they are going through surveillance video of the crash.
Anyone with information should contact police at 978-794-5900 ext. 625.
