BOSTON — Another member of Congress is calling for President Trump's impeachment – and he is from Massachusetts.
Rep. Joe Kennedy III says the key thing driving his decision is a full read of the Mueller Report. After going through the document with, what he called a 'fine-tooth comb,' the fourth district congressman came to this conclusion.
"I don't even think it's a close call," he said. "The president obstructed justice.
"I don't say that lightly I don't say that with any joy. I would much prefer to go on with the business of trying to move the country forward on issues I care about."
Kennedy talked about some of the issues he cares about at a town hall meeting in Newton on Sunday. The topics included immigration reform, climate change and reducing student loan debt.
His announcement that he favors impeachment proceedings against President Trump drew applause, but that's not surprising in a city that voted nearly five to one for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in 2016.

Kennedy says impeachment should not be about political party.
"This isn't a partisan issue. It shouldn't be a partisan issue," he said. "And the fact it's become one is a tragedy."
Kennedy hopes more of his colleagues will simply read the Mueller Report.
"It helps to have a bit of legal training and background to help understand what the special counsel writes and why he writes it," he said.
"And if you have that knowledge and you do walk through it, again, I don't even think it's a close case."
