ISIS leader in Afghanistan was killed last month

The leader of ISIS in Afghanistan was killed April 27 in a raid conducted by Afghan forces and U.S. troops, authorities confirm.

CNN reports that Army rangers and Afghan commandos were dropped into Nanghar Province and within minutes, were surrounded by heavy fire.

The Pentagon told CNN that Sheikh Abdul Hasib was the target of the attack and he was killed. Several other high ranking ISIS leaders were also killed, along with 35 ISIS fighters.

Two American soldiers also died in the attack.
