Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued at mid-evening Tuesday for a new line of storms moving across western and north central Massachusetts and northern Connecticut with an approaching cold front. Those, too, were gone by the late evening hours.

The storm left damage in several towns, including in Taunton where a tree fell on someone's home. The couple had just returned home from work when they heard a loud thump. They went downstairs to their basement and saw a picture was knocked over. That happened after a massive tree fell on the house and nearly busted a basement window.
Homeowner, Michael Bagni said, "From here now, it looks like my house is in the forest."
The family says they plan to cut the tree down, and they are happy that no one was hurt.
A downed tree in Wrentham crushed a car and another fell right across the town common.
Crews across New England were working to clean up the mess Tuesday night.
