I killed, 1 seriously hurt in 3-car crash in Milton

MILTON, Mass. (AP) - State police say a man has died after his car was hit head-on by another car that had crossed into his lane after colliding with a third vehicle.

Police said the crash occurred just after 6 a.m. Saturday on Route 28 south in Milton, just south of Chickatawbut Road.

It began when a 31-year-old man from Holbrook driving an Infinity G35x hit the rear of a Toyota Corolla driven by a 38-year-old Boston woman. That impact pushed the woman's car into the breakdown lane and sent the Infinity into the northbound lane where it struck a Honda Accord head-on.

The Honda driver was killed and the Infinity driver was seriously injured.

The woman and an 8-year-old child in her car were treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
