MAYNARD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The heavy rain caused a roof to cave in at an apartment complex in Maynard, leaving some families with no place to stay on Wednesday night.
Heavy rain caused the roof to cave in at 5 Railroad St. and eight apartments were affected.
Families returned home to find piles of sheet rock on their beds and belongings destroyed.
Renter Amanda Dulessis said, "It was like boom, like I heard it. And I was like what was that?"
She went on to say she slept downstairs in her home and "hope the ceiling doesn't fall in on every body."
No injuries were reported.
FOX25 reached out to the landlord, but he said he didn't have the time to talk about it.
