Pop-up vaccination clinic being held Saturday in Mattapan

BOSTON — The City of Boston will be holding a free pop-up vaccination clinic in Mattapan Saturday from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. at 926 Cummins Highway in Mattapan Square. The neighborhood reportedly has fewer vaccinated individuals than anywhere else in Boston.

That clinic will be run out of the COVID-19 Community van, which is based out of the Brigham and Brookside Community Health Center.

No appointments, insurance or identification are needed for the free COVID-19 vaccination.

“It is so important to eliminate any barriers for people to get vaccinated. Many standard clinics operate during normal business hours, making it hard for those who cannot easily leave work, and others are not convenient for people who may need to take public transportation,” said Dr. Christin Price, the site lead and community programs director at the Brigham. “This is an opportunity to provide a service while making residents feel welcome and comfortable.”
