FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Fans will be wearing masks and sitting far apart in seating blocks at Gillette Stadium if the organization is given local approval to host games this fall, according to a statement released by the organization.
In preemptive move Tuesday, the Patriots announced they had already set some standards for attendance at fall events, well ahead of any real decision or movement by the NFL.
It’s unclear if the season will go ahead at this point, but many parties have spoken optimistically about the season.
A posting on the Patriots website outlined some of the details the organization planned for safe attendance.
Pending state and local approval, should Gillette Stadium be allowed to have fans in the stands this season, it is expected to host about 20 percent of its total capacity. Ticketed parties will be asked to maintain physical distancing of at least six feet from other parties, tickets will be arranged in blocks of 10 seats or less, and the first eight rows of stadium seats will not be used. Additionally, face coverings will be required at all times inside the stadium to keep all attendees safe.

Tickets will be limited and walk-up sales wil be suspended. Season ticket members will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets if fans will be allowed at games.
The team also said parking will be free at all home games in the parking lots surrounding Gillette Stadium.
