BOSTON — The Massachusetts COVID-19 Command Center issued another round of emergency alerts to 22 high risk-risk communities Monday night.
It’s the second time the state has used the system to reach people in cities and towns that have reported high levels of coronavirus transmission.

These are the communities that received Monday’s alert at 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.: Acushnet, Attleboro, Boston, Brockton, Chelmsford, Gloucester, Holyoke, Hudson, Kingston, Leicester, Lowell, Malden, Marlborough, Methuen, Middleton, North Andover, Plymouth, Randolph, Springfield, Waltham, Webster and Woburn.
The alert came on the third straight day of more than 1,000 newly reported cases in Massachusetts.
The state last saw three straight days topping 1,000 cases back on May 16-18.
