Hand-less, leg-less man designs system to drive

MEXICO CITY — A man with no arms and no legs has figured out a way to do something he thought he never would - drive.

In fact, 34-year-old Rafael Reyes is a skilled enough driver to become an Uber driver in January.

Reyes, who's also a biomedical engineer, designed a driving system himself that allows him to control the wheel.

He now trains others with disabilities to drive.

Reyes said it's important because people with disabilities often have a hard time finding jobs. Having a vehicle makes it much easier to get around.

When he's not in his car, Reyes uses a skateboard.

The Colombia-native also spends a lot time designing toys for children. However, he said his real passion is music and playing the drums.
