A child's car seat is being recalled after tests showed that it doesn't adequately restrain a child during a crash.

Graco is recalling the My Ride 65 convertible child restraints because the seat webbing may tear under a load during a crash.

The car seats fail to confirm to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards required for child restraints.

The number of units affected are 25,949. The car seats were manufactured during the summer of 2014 and sold in the U.S., going for $119 to $199. So far, no injuries have been reported.

The models recalled are:

  • 1871689
  • 1908152
  • 1813074
  • 1872691
  • 1853478
  • 1877535
  • 1813015
  • 1794334

Graco said it will notify owners and people who sell the product will be able to provide a replacement harness free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin July 17, 2017.

People who own one of the affected car seats can contact Graco with questions at 1-800-345-4109. They can also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov.
