BOSTON — On Monday, Governor Charlie Baker and First Lady Lauren Baker announced the launch of a relief fund for Massachusetts residents affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Massachusetts COVID-19 relief fund started with $13 million from private donations and is going to be used to support essential front line workers and other vulnerable communities.

The fund was designed to help those suffering from issues such as affording groceries, housing insecurity and loss of critical services.

If you’d like to make a donation, you can visit the relief fund’s website here.

“We’re gonna work through a network of excellent community foundations and other non-profits across the Commonwealth who have deep roots in their local communities and are familiar with the organizations that are able to effectively fill the need and deploy resources to the people who need it most quickly,” said Lauren Baker.
