FOXBOROUGH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A sixth grader from Foxborough jumped into action on Tuesday after coming home from school to find an intruder had ransacked her home.
Haley Anderson arrived at her Mechanic Street home just before 3 p.m. to find her front door kicked in. Instead of entering, she peered into the house only to see that every cabinet was opened and that her family's belongings were on the ground.
Haley frantically called her mother followed by 911.
"I thought they wanted to take my stuff or moms stuff and my pets seemed creeped out," says Haley.
Within moments, three police cruisers and a K-9 unit arrived to find the suspect nearby. Daniel Callahan, 30, of Kingston, was found hiding in the house next door.
Callahan's car was found down the street. Police allege that the vehicle was filled with stolen prescription drugs. The 30-year-old is facing charges of breaking and entering and possession of controlled substances.
