Former N.H. resident injured in Calif. mass shooting

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A woman who used to live in New Hampshire was injured in the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California.

The Bangor Daily News reports Amanda Gaspard was raised by her parents, Kenneth and Diane McLean Gaspard, in Hinsdale, New Hampshire. She is now living in California.

Gaspard is 31 years old and the BDN reports that she was an environmental health specialist in San Bernardino. Gaspard was shot in the arm and leg and also suffered shrapnel wounds to her head and body. Her mom is flying out west to be with her.

Diane Gaspard posted a message to a church Facebook page saying, "Thank you so much for asking for prayers for our daughter, Amanda Gaspard. We are on our way to CA to be with her. One of her first comments to us was that somehow this situation could be used to witness for the Lord. Her faith is so strong. She was praying with other victims while she was lying there bleeding. We Praise God for sparing her life."

Many of her friends have been posting on Facebook, asking for prayers for Gaspard.
