Firefighters responded to a seven-alarm fire at a five-story building in the Back Bay, the Boston Fire Department said.
The department said they responded for a report of a building fire around 3:17 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the occupied, five-story building on Hemenway Street.
Alarms quickly rose all the way to seven as the flames continued to burn at the building.
One firefighter has minor injuries from burns and a neighbor was treated for smoke inhalation.
All firefighters were ordered out of the building just after 4:30 p.m.
The building houses mostly college students. Northeastern says the building is not owned or leased by the university, but they will be working to provide those students with housing on campus. Northeastern University Police told everyone to avoid the area and to listen to the directions from emergency personnel.
Boston Fire says crews will be at the scene throughout the night.
