METHUEN, Mass. — Firefighters in Methuen are on the scene of a large fire on Broadway at High Street that destroyed a building
The fire started around 8 p.m. and was largely extinguished by 9 p.m.
“We all lost everything everything’s gone everything we worked hard for,” resident Bobby Rennell said.
One woman was given an oxygen mask at the scene after attempting to run back inside to grab her belongings.
Residents of the multi-family home tell Boston 25 News reporter Drew Karedes that there were no serious injuries.
“I told her just get out of the house it's going, she finally came out and ran down here it’s awful it’s very scary,” neighbor Michele Martin said.
One resident was taken to the hospital for burns, two other people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. All three are expected to be OK.
Drew Karedes is speaking to fire officials and residents of the building. He will have a full report on Boston 25 News at 10.
