SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The family of a girl who was killed 20 years ago is renewing the appeal for help and information on the anniversary of her death.
On March 30, 1995, the night Deanna Cremin was last seen alive, she was at her boyfriend's house watching television. He told Deanna's mother that he walked her half of the way home, leaving her to walk the rest of the way alone -- just two blocks.
A group of children on their way to school discovered Deanna's body behind a housing complex at 125 Jacques St., about a block away from where her boyfriend says he last saw her. It was just days after her 17th birthday.
Her family and friends wrote a letter to the Somerville News Weekly asking people to share a reward poster of Deanna through social media, so that anyone with information will be given the "push they needed" to come forward.
There is a $70,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for her murder. Anyone with information is asked to call 617-544-7167.
