EVERETT, Mass. — Everett Police have arrested a 16-year-old suspect on kidnapping and assault charges.
According to authorities, the suspect was charged with kidnapping, assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon in connection to an incident that happened earlier this week.
The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and is recovering.
Everett Police Chief Steven A. Mazzie says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed against the suspect.
"I commend the Everett Police for their quick work in arresting the individual responsible for this vicious act and hope he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," said Everett Mayor Carlo Demaria. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim and their family.”
