ROCKLAND, Mass. – An elementary student in Rockland is being investigated after allegedly bringing an Airsoft pistol to school and firing at classmates.
The incident happened after school ours Monday, officials said.
While no students reported injuries, at least one person was struck.
The student suspected of the shooting will be kept out of school and is expected to face charges, officials said.
“We are taking this seriously, and even though this information is only a few hours old, we have already taken action,” Superintendent Alan Cron said.
It's unclear how old the student is, but school officials said they attend the Memorial Park Elementary School.
