DUDLEY, Mass. (AP) - A Dudley man has been charged in connection with the death of a Southbridge man found in his home last weekend.
Fifty-eight-year-old David Roman was arraigned Friday in Dudley District Court on a murder charge connected to the death of Joseph Stanick. He was ordered held without bail pending his next court appearance on July 31.
Investigators say the body of the 59-year-old Stanick was found in his house at about 8 p.m. last Saturday and his throat has been slashed. The medical examiner's office determined he died of multiple stab wounds.
District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. says it wasn't a random attack.
Roman's response to the allegations isn't known. It could not be determined if he has a lawyer.
