Douglas Middle School student allegedly threatens to 'shoot-up' school

DOUGLAS, Mass. — A Douglas Middle School student was removed from campus Thursday after allegedly threatening to "shoot-up" the school.

The principal told officers that a 14-year-old boy had made several threats in a classroom. He allegedly said he was going to "shoot-up" the school and that he had a "hit-list."

The teenager was removed from the classroom and taken to a hospital for an evaluation.

The school resource officer and Douglas police are working with the school and conducting the investigation. Charges may be brought in juvenile court.
