BROCKTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man was fatally shot in Brockton Saturday.
At about 2:25 a.m., Brockton police responded to a call for a man shot on Grove Street. The victim, Christopher Rosario, 25, of Dorchester, was found inside a car that had crashed into a fence that surrounds Landerholm Electric Company, officials say. Rosario was pronounced dead on the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined that Rosario and his passenger were at the Morabeza Nightclub on Main Street in Brockton before the shooting occurred. When the club closed, Rosario and the passenger left in the passengerâs car, but Rosario was driving. As he drove east on Grove Street, an unknown car pulled along the driverâs side of the car Rosario was operating and started shooting. Rosario was hit and veered off the road, crashing into the fence.
The Chief Medical Examiner is completing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 508-923-4205 or Brockton police at 508-941-0234.
