EASTON, Mass. — Local and State police are investigating the suspicious death of a 49-year-old Plymouth woman who was found dead in an Easton home Wednesday night, according to the Bristol County DA's office.

The DA's office identified the woman as Tamra Davidson, who was found dead inside a home at 234 Washington St. at around 6:30 p.m. by Easton police, of an apparent gunshot wound.

Davidson's death is being investigated by State Police detectives and Easton police as "suspicious," the DA said in a news release.

Additional information is not being released due to the ongoing investigation, the DA's office said.

Police are only saying someone was in the house when the shooting happened and that person called 911 and told police the woman accidentally shot herself in the chest. After speaking with them, police say the death is suspicious.
