(MyFoxBoston.com) – A Connecticut man has re-filed a lawsuit against Aaron Hernandez in Florida.
The lawsuit claims that on Feb. 13, Hernandez shot 30-year-old Alexander Bradley in the face after an altercation at a Miami Gardens strip club.
The lawsuit claims the two men knew each other, left in the same car, and at some point during the ride, Hernandez allegedly pointed a gun in the man's face and fired.
The lawsuit also claims Hernandez does not have a license to carry a firearm.
Four days after the lawsuit was filed, the case was dismissed because of an error in the paperwork.
The alleged victim's legal team re-filed the lawsuit Thursday.
FOX 25 did reach out to the Miami Gardens Police Department. They said they have no record of the alleged shooting and Hernandez's name is not in their system.
Alexander Bradley faced drug charges in 2006 after police searched his East Hartford home and claim they found cocaine, marijuana, and other illegal items. According to the police report, Bradley confessed that he was laid off from his job with a carpet cleaning business and began selling cocaine about 8 months prior to his arrest. Bradley also called himself a "weed-head."
"Bradley said that once you begin that 'lifestyle,' referring to the drug money lifestyle, 'it is difficult to go back,'" reads the 2006 press release.
Also on Thursday, FOX 25 obtained a police report from Providence involving Hernandez. The report says that in the early-morning hours of May 18 Hernandez was being taunted by a group of men outside of a club.
According to the Hartford Courant, Bradley was sentenced to 18 months in jail for the 2006 offense.
Police were called to the scene to help Hernandez get to his vehicle. While at the scene, police said they saw a man throw a gun under a car. The man was able to get away. The police report did not indicate that there were any arrests in connection with the incident.
