QUEENS, NY (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Chihuahua was found inside a checked bag this week at a New York airport.
After being notified of a checked baggage alarm, an officer at LaGuardia Airport looked into the luggage in question and found something he wasn't expecting. Instead of a weapon or another item that may have set off the baggage alarm, the officer found a dog. The Chihuahua had stealthily climbed into the suitcase while her owner was packing. TSA worked with the airline to find the dog's owner and reunited the pair.
According to the TSA Blog, it's "always important to double check your bags before traveling, especially to make sure your Chihuahua hasn't stowed away inside one of them."
