Cement blocks fall from roof of historic Salem church

SALEM, Mass. — Cement blocks fell from the roof of an historic church overnight.

The Salem Police and Fire departments are investigating after the blocks fell from St. Peter's Church overnight.

The entire side of the roof could be seen lying on the sidewalk.

St. Peter's Church is nearly 300 years old and just feet from the city's historic downtown.

No one was hurt, but the area has been blocked to pedestrians.
