Car crash caused by 'assassin' game in NH

MERRIMACK, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Merrimack, N.H. are cracking down on a popular game among high school students after they say it caused a car crash Wednesday.

The game is called "Assassins." The goal is to "assassinate" an assigned target using a water gun.

Police and the school district say even though playing the game is not a crime, they do not condone it.

No one has been seriously hurt, but a player was involved in a car crash due to the game Wednesday night.

"Last night we had an incident were a student was targeted while he was leaving his driveway and in the heat of the moment, the student tried to escape without getting hit or targeted by the squirt gun and struck another vehicle on his way out," Lt. Dean Killkelley said.

Police say they will prosecute any reported infractions including trespassing and assault to the full extent of the law.
