Sam's Club abruptly closes some New England locations

BOSTON — Dozens of Sam's Club locations across the country abruptly closed for good Thursday without any warning to staff or customers.

The Worcester location closed its doors Thursday afternoon and did not appear marked on the website's locations page.

The store wasn't the only one, Business Insider reports the Seabrook, N.H. location was shuttered as well.

Reports indicated that more than 60 stores were closed in at least two dozen states, including Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, Washington, Georgia and Florida.

The Worcester store was the only Sam's Club left in the Commonwealth.
